Day 1: Arrival & Cultural Triangle Beginnings (Sigiriya)
  • Morning:
    Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where our friendly representative will welcome you with a warm smile and traditional Sri Lankan hospitality.

    Transfer:
    Travel north on a scenic 4-hour drive to Sigiriya, passing through lush countryside, rural villages, and verdant rice paddies.

    Afternoon:
    Climb the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at ancient frescoes, the Mirror Wall, and landscaped water gardens. From the summit, soak in panoramic views of the forested plains below.

    Evening:
    Unwind at your hotel nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.

    Overnight: Sigiriya

  • Morning:
    Set out for a guided tour of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, exploring well-preserved ruins including royal palaces, stone temples, and the awe-inspiring Gal Vihara Buddha statues.

    Afternoon:
    Return toward Sigiriya and stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to intricate wall murals and over 150 Buddha statues within a vast rock cave complex.

    Evening:
    Enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan dinner and relax under the stars.

    Overnight: Sigiriya

  • Morning:
    Depart for Kandy, the hill capital (approx. 2.5–3 hours). On the way, visit a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s herbal traditions and aromatic spices.

    Afternoon:
    Arrive in Kandy and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in the world. Explore the vibrant Kandy city center and enjoy views of Kandy Lake.

    Evening:
    Witness a colorful cultural dance performance, followed by a relaxing evening at your hotel.

  • Morning:
    Travel to Nuwara Eliya through winding roads lined with tea plantations and cascading waterfalls (approx. 2.5 hours). Stop at a tea factory en route to learn about the tea-making process and sample freshly brewed Ceylon tea.

    Afternoon:
    Explore colonial-era Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England.” Visit Gregory Lake, stroll past colonial bungalows, and browse the local market.

    Evening:
    Relax in the cool mountain air or enjoy a fireside evening at your hotel.

  • Morning:
    Depart early for Yala National Park or Udawalawe National Park (approx. 4–5 hours), depending on your preference for elephant sightings or leopard tracking.

    Afternoon:
    Embark on an exciting afternoon jeep safari, where you may spot elephants, crocodiles, peacocks, deer, and – with luck – the elusive Sri Lankan leopard.

    Evening:
    Settle into a nature resort or safari lodge near the park.
